Anusha Mistry

Childrens Physiotherapist
BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy

I graduated with my degree in physiotherapy from Northumbria University in 2004. Since then I have had the privilege of working in both the NHS and private sector across the midlands, central London and Surrey.

I have always enjoyed being with children and am often told I have an affinity for children. After my elective placement in paediatrics in my final year at university I knew that was where my passion was and I have never really looked back.

Paediatrics has been my speciality for over 14 years and I love it. Working with children allows me to be my inner child and there is no better feeling than having a giggle with a child and their family whilst helping them overcome an often stressful period of time in their life. My therapy sessions are personally tailored to each child’s individual needs and requirements. This makes therapy fun and challenging but also cleverly disguised in play or an age/hobby appropriate activity to maximise their potential for recovery.

I am a mum of 2 young children so I 100% appreciate all those tears and tantrums but more importantly, I understand how a change in your child’s health can impact family dynamics and how important it is to find the right therapist.

The areas of paediatric physiotherapy I specialise in are baby’s/infants with developmental delay (head turning preference, delay in achieving milestones, plagiocephaly), children with growing pains (lower limb pain, back pain, Osgood Schlatters disease, Severs disease) and rehabilitation post orthopaedic surgery (arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, fractures etc).

Get in touch and let’s see how I can help your child recover from their injury today.
